in physics and a Bachelor of Science from KU in mechanical engineering. My current cummulative G.P.A. is a 3.60 and I am a junior in terms of credit hours. I am also an Eagle Scout I happen to be a huge believer in the importance of getting involved on campus as an undergraduate student as evidenced by the list of my on campus involvement in my first two years: Math Tutor Staff Writer for the Review (the campus newspaper) for a year Set construction for The Illusionist Parliamentarian/Campus Affairs Committee vice-chair for Student Senate Assistant Live Music Director for CAB Student Member of the Board of Student Publications Member of Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society Member of Kappa Mu Epsilon National Math Honor Fraternity Member of Gamma Sigma Alpha National Greek Honor Society Alumni Relations Officer and Secretary for the Delta Chi Fraternity Founding vice-president of the Physics/Pre-engineering Club Math Club Board Game Club Writer’s Circle New Student Summer Orientation Counselor Of course, a list is just a list, it is accomplishments that matter most. Here are a few of the things I accomplished at Washburn so far. On Student Government, I was responsible for insuring that meetings conformed to the rules of order and interpreting the Constitution for an organization with an operating budget of around $260,000. I also helped expand the iSave Student Discount program in Topeka, and helped organize Campus Safety themed events. As a member of Delta Chi, I helped planned the gala when our Chapter recieved it's charter. Over 100 people were in attendence including the President of the Fraternity and the President of the University. |
